18th January 2003

Surf / Sea State: 2-3 ft choppy
Air Temperature:
Sea Temperature:
Weather: overcast
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

arrived around mid day, wind was abot 14knots SE, waited for a while to see if it would pick up as forecast but decided to put up my big 16.5m warrior. Had a nice 45 minutes or so on my new 142 wavetray before coming in to switch kites.

As I got my demo 12m Caution kite set up the wind kicked in to a nice 18knots plus (dont you just love it when that happens) the wind swung round to S and continued to pick up throughout the afternoon.

The new Caution performed very well, its incredibly quick to turn but not at all twitchy, I was using the outer line attachments, next time I'll try the inner ones which should make the kite fly more off the front lines.

Wind was a little gusty and the combination of new board, new kite and aching achillies tendon meant for quite a reserved session, but even so some of the jumps were surprisingly high.
